I specialise in low maintenance garden planning but can provide a traditional country garden layout with dense planting or a contemporary minimal space. Your thoughts and a guideline budget will be discussed in the Initial Consultation & site visit which are free.

How It Works
Following agreement of the design brief, a Design Fee Proposal will be submitted based on the estimated number of hours required to complete each of the three design stages & project management.

• Stage 1: I will survey the existing garden area for size, orientation, levels, soil type & existing plants & make recommendations for any remedial work such as shrub removal & pruning or soil improvement. I then hand-draw & colour Concept Design plans & sketches with photographic plant & building material references. These boards are yours to keep and can be mounted as original artworks.

• Stage 2: Following discussion with the client I produce fully detailed plans including any agreed changes , plus instructions for landscape contractors tenders.

• Stage 3: I provide detailed planting layouts with plant quantities for quotes before purchase. Upon agreement I will require a 50% plant budget deposit.

• Project Management: I will oversee the contractor’s work & check invoices.
  I then select & buy the plants as agreed, & provide a final estimate for planting.  Our planting service fees are based on an hourly rate of £20.
